Capturing Futures: Professional Senior Headshots for IU Health Fellowship Students at IPS Schools in Indiana

May 2, 2025

Branding + Headshoots

As a portrait photographer, few things are more meaningful than being invited to capture milestone moments. Recently, I had the honor of photographing senior headshots for students in the Indiana University Health High School Fellowship program, in partnership with Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS). These headshots weren’t just portraits—they were powerful symbols of growth, professionalism, and readiness for the future.

For graduating seniors, a professional headshot is more than just a nice photo. It’s a tool for success. Whether applying to college, internships, scholarships, or jobs, having a polished image can leave a lasting first impression. In today’s digital world, students are expected to present themselves online in a way that reflects their ambition and professionalism. A headshot can help open doors before they even step foot on campus or into a workplace.

Each of the IU Health Fellowship seniors I photographed brought something unique to the lens—drive, determination, and pride in how far they’ve come. To support these students in their next steps, we offered discounted senior photo sessions, making it easier for every fellow to access a high-quality professional image that reflects their achievements.

About the IU Health High School Fellowship Program

The IU Health High School Fellowship is a transformative, three-year initiative designed to prepare high school students for a wide range of healthcare careers. Created in collaboration with Indianapolis Public Schools, the program blends classroom learning with real-world, paid internships at IU Health facilities.

Students gain hands-on experience, earn healthcare certifications, and accumulate college credits before they even graduate high school. More importantly, they are exposed to a variety of healthcare roles—from nursing and radiology to physical therapy and patient care—helping them find their path in a growing industry that needs compassionate, skilled professionals. With around 600 open roles in downtown hospitals alone, IU Health is also investing in its own future workforce by mentoring the next generation.

A key goal of the program is to bring more diverse talent into healthcare, ensuring that patients see providers who understand and reflect their communities. This fellowship is not just a career pipeline—it’s a platform for equity, empowerment, and real opportunity.

Thank you again to the IU Health High School Fellowship and IPS Schools for inviting me to be part of such a meaningful project. I’m proud to support these rising stars as they step into their futures—one confident headshot at a time.
