Kelley School of Business MBA 2026 Headshots in Indianapolis
Every year, I look forward to photographing the Kelley School of Business MBA students at Indiana University Indianapolis. This year marked my third year photographing the program, and as an Indianapolis Headshot Photographer, I genuinely look forward to spending this week with this group of professionals.
The Kelley MBA students take time away from their program for professional headshots they can use across their professional lives, including business websites, LinkedIn profiles, and other professional platforms. For me, getting everyone photographed during their short break is a challenge I am always happy to take on.
My Third Year Photographing Kelley MBA Headshots
This program has become one of those photography jobs that I truly look forward to every year.
There is something special about seeing a new group of professionals come through the program, knowing that the next big milestone on the horizon is graduation.
This was my third year photographing the Kelley School of Business MBA program, and I am so grateful that they continue to bring me back.
A week of headshots may sound simple, but photographing an entire MBA cohort during a small break takes planning, flexibility, and a whole lot of organization.
My goal is always to make the process as easy as possible for the students while still giving everyone a professional image they feel confident using.
Professional Headshots for Kelley School of Business MBA Students
Professional headshots are an important part of building your professional presence.
For these MBA students, their headshots can become part of how they introduce themselves professionally. A strong headshot can be used on LinkedIn, company websites, professional bios, speaking profiles, and other places where people may be learning about their experience.
That is why I don’t look at a headshot as simply standing in front of a camera and smiling.
It is about creating an image that feels professional while still looking like the person in front of my camera.

What I Love About the Kelley MBA Program
One thing I appreciate about this program is that the students are not simply learning how to put “MBA” behind their name.
(Paragraph) They are learning how business works and how to become stronger leaders within their organizations.
The Kelley Physician MBA curriculum includes areas such as finance, marketing, leadership, strategy, operations, and other business skills that can be applied to healthcare. The program is specifically designed for physicians and combines business education with healthcare application.
That makes the people I photograph especially interesting. They are already accomplished professionals, and they are taking the next step in developing their leadership and business skills.
Kelley describes the Physician MBA as a 21-month program that combines online learning with in-person experiences in Indianapolis for working physicians.

Making a Week of MBA Headshots Feel Less Like a Headshot Line
The first round of headshots was mandatory, so my main goal was simple: get everyone photographed, make sure everyone had what they needed, and keep the process moving.
I was able to photograph everyone during the week, which was a huge relief.
Then Friday came around.
Friday’s headshots were optional, so I decided to walk around and ask students if they wanted to do something a little different.
At first, some people were understandably a little standoffish.
But then something funny happened.
Before long, I had a line of people wanting individual photos in different locations around campus.
People started having fun with it.
And that is one of my favorite parts of photography.
What starts as, “No, I’m good. I already have my headshot,” can quickly turn into, “Okay, let’s do one more.”

From Professional Headshots to More Personality
The optional photos gave everyone a chance to step outside of the standard headshot setup.
Instead of everyone having the exact same background and pose, we could use different scenery around Indiana University Indianapolis and create images with a little more personality.
I love having those options because a professional headshot doesn’t always have to feel stiff.
There is a time and place for the traditional professional headshot. But there is also something great about having another image that feels more natural and shows a little more of your personality.
That is especially helpful for professionals who want images for LinkedIn, personal branding, speaking engagements, websites, or other professional uses.
Indianapolis Headshot Photographer for Professionals
(Paragraph) As an Indianapolis Headshot Photographer, I work with all kinds of professionals who need updated images for their careers and businesses.
(Paragraph) I’ve photographed real estate teams, business professionals, educators, entrepreneurs, dancers, and now multiple Kelley MBA cohorts.
Every group is different.
Some people walk into a session completely comfortable in front of the camera. Others need a little more direction.
- That’s okay.
- My job is not to expect everyone to know how to pose. My job is to help you.
- I want you to walk away feeling like you look confident, approachable, and professional.

Why Professional Headshots Matter for Your Career
Your professional photograph is often one of the first things people see when they look you up online.
That makes your headshot part of your personal brand.
- LinkedIn profile photos
- Company websites
- Professional bios
- Speaking engagements
- Business profiles
- Marketing materials
- Professional networking
A good headshot doesn’t need to feel overly serious. It should feel polished while still looking like you.

Three Years of Kelley MBA Headshots
Photographing this program for the third year has made it something I genuinely look forward to.
There is something exciting about meeting a new cohort, photographing everyone during their busy schedule, and then knowing that the next time I see many of them may be graduation.
And yes, I am already looking forward to that part.
I cannot wait to see this next cohort graduate.
There is something really rewarding about getting to photograph people at different points in their professional journey. A headshot may seem like a small part of an MBA program, but it becomes part of their professional story.

Frequently Asked Questions About Professional Headshots
What should I use my professional headshot for?
Professional headshots can be used for LinkedIn, company websites, business profiles, professional bios, speaking engagements, marketing materials, and other professional platforms.
How often should I update my professional headshot?
I recommend updating your headshot whenever your appearance, role, branding, or professional image changes. Many professionals also choose to refresh their headshots every few years so their online presence stays current.
Do I need to know how to pose for a headshot?
Absolutely not. You do not need to know how to pose. Part of my job as a photographer is giving you direction so you don’t have to figure out what to do with your hands, where to stand, or how to position yourself.
Can professional headshots be taken outdoors?
Yes. Professional headshots don’t always have to be taken against a plain studio background. Depending on the purpose of the images, an outdoor location or workplace setting can create a more natural and personalized look.
Do you photograph groups and teams?
Yes. I photograph individual professionals as well as teams, organizations, and larger groups. Group sessions can be planned in advance to keep the process organized and make the most of everyone’s time.
