Indianapolis Newborn Photographer | Cy’Aire’s Studio Newborn Session
July 25, 2026

There is something incredibly special about photographing a newborn. Tiny fingers, sleepy smiles, and the way they fit perfectly in your arms are moments that change so quickly. As an Indianapolis Newborn Photographer, this session was even more meaningful because I wasn’t just photographing a client—I was photographing my newest nephew. Welcome to the world, Cy’Aire. Capturing these moments while he is still so small is something our family will treasure forever, and I know these photographs will only become more meaningful as the years go by.

Some sessions are unforgettable because of the emotions behind them.
Meeting my nephew, Cy’Aire, for the very first time was one of those moments.
Holding him in my arms and documenting these first days of his life reminded me just how quickly time passes. It truly feels like babies change overnight. Those tiny features, little yawns, and peaceful stretches won’t stay this way for long, which is exactly why newborn photography is so important.
As both his aunt and an Indianapolis photographer, this session meant more to me than words can express.

The newborn stage is one of the shortest seasons of life.
Before you know it, your baby is smiling, rolling over, crawling, and celebrating their first birthday.
Photographs help preserve the little details that parents never want to forget, including:
These are the moments that become priceless with time.
Cy’Aire’s newborn session was photographed in the studio using soft, natural tones and simple styling.
I love keeping newborn sessions clean and timeless because the focus should always be on your baby—not on elaborate props or trendy setups.
Simple blankets, neutral colors, and gentle posing allow every photograph to remain beautiful for years to come.
As an Indianapolis Newborn Photographer, my goal is to create images that feel classic, emotional, and true to your family’s story.

One of my favorite parts of every newborn session is slowing down.
There is no rush.
Babies need breaks.
Parents need time to soak in every moment.
Those quiet pauses often become some of my favorite photographs.
Whether it’s tiny fingers wrapped around mom’s hand or a peaceful stretch while sleeping, these little moments tell the story of a family’s newest chapter.
Looking at these images of Cy’Aire already reminds me how quickly babies grow.
I’m so grateful we captured this season while he was still so tiny.
The best time for newborn photographs is during your baby’s first 5–14 days after birth.
During this time, babies tend to sleep more deeply and naturally curl into those sweet newborn poses.
However, if your baby is a little older, don’t worry.
Beautiful newborn portraits can still be created in the weeks that follow.
Every baby is different, and every stage is worth documenting.
I recommend reserving your newborn session during your second or early third trimester. This ensures availability around your due date while allowing flexibility if your baby arrives early or late.
The ideal time is within the first 5–14 days after birth. Babies are usually sleepier during this stage, making it easier to capture those classic newborn portraits.
Simple is always best. Neutral swaddles, soft textures, and timeless outfits photograph beautifully and keep the focus on your baby.
Absolutely! Family portraits are one of my favorite parts of every newborn session. These images celebrate your growing family and become cherished keepsakes for generations.
After your session, you’ll receive a private online gallery where you can download your high-resolution images, share them with family and friends, and order professional prints and heirloom products.
